ABU DHABI, UAE – 8th of November, 2007 – Norway’s leading female F2 driver Marit Stromoy is joining the UIM World F1 Series for the last four races of the 2007 season in Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Marit is joining the Team Sweden alongside Jonas Andersson and Philippe Tourre in a Molgaard hull.
When not racing powerboats, Marit is a popular singer at a nightclub in her native Norway. She will join a very small elite group of woman who have raced on the Formula 1 stage. Fiona Brothers and Kay Marshall are the only girls we can recall who have competed at the highest level of tunnel boat racing.
